Honoring pets and loved ones through portraits offers a unique way to celebrate their lives and the joy they bring. Portraits can serve as lasting tributes, capturing the essence of your cherished companions in a way that transcends the ordinary.

Pet or People Portraits

Acrylics

I prefer working with Liquitex Professional Heavy Body acrylic paint on wrapped canvas. Acrylics allow me to capture intricate details with precision, making it ideal for my style of painting. Additionally, the convenience of being able to hang canvases directly once the painting is complete is a practical bonus that adds to the overall appeal of this medium.

Oil Pastels

I use Sennelier Oil Pastels on pastel paper. Compared to acrylics, it can be slightly challenging to capture every intricate detail, but that's where the charm lies; the freedom to create unique and stylized pieces. The final portraits have this distinct quality. Since they are done on pastel paper they are easily framed and matted for display.

Terms and Conditions

What to Expect

The first step is to fill out this form. After, a discussion will begin to determine the details of the portrait. I work from photographs. They can be one photo or a combination of multiple. The better the photo quality the more detail I can include. I always make sure to give progress updates and ask for input throughout the process to make sure that I am capturing the portrait correctly.

Payment

At least 50% of the final cost is due before the start of the painting. The final 50% plus shipping will be due before shipment.

Refunds

I will do everything in my power to make sure the customer is happy with the final portrait. In the case that this is not possible, a refund minus 20% of the total cost will be given to cover materials and time.

Shipping

Shipping is a flat rate of $8 up to size 11x14. Shipping will be calculated for larger sizes before the final payment is due. Option for pickup is available in Holland, MI. Payment will be due before pickup.
